After several years of being put on hold, especially during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is finally back and is now in its new home in the New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac. The 24th edition of the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is staged in the venue for the 30th South East Asian (SEA) Games on February 16-18, 2024.
My PIHABF Experience
Though my stay in the Balloon Fiesta is short and sweet, I saw to it that it is going to be memorable! Together with my “festival friends,” we explored and toured around the New Clark City complex. The food and beverage kiosks in and around the Fiesta Grounds are very varied – from shakes, to doughnuts, to pizzas, you name it, they probably have it! You will never run out of options!
Personally, the venue for this year’s Fiesta is much better than its previous locations because there is a dedicated and elevated space for the audience to watch the shows, especially the morning and evening balloon flares, and there are numerous food and beverage kiosks for visitors to explore and enjoy. I find it more convenient because there are also free shuttle services to and from New Clark City and within the athletic complex as well.
There are also a lot of slated activities for the 3-day Balloon Fiesta. In #AWeekendOfEverythingThatFlies, there are also activities such as air exhibitions, skydiving, morning hot air balloon launch, night flares, drone shows, and nightly fireworks displays, among others! There is a lot to see and do in this three-day event, I tell you. 🙂
Can’t wait for the next edition of the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta!
We’re born to travel!
