Kermit Siargao: Surf’s Up

Kermit Siargao Surf Resort and Restaurant | Turista Boy

Being one of the better locally known hotels in the island, Kermit Siargao is one of the more peaceful places to stay in and dine in the heart of Siargao. Located near the Tourism Road, this urban oasis is not just a perfect spot to chill, but I can tell that they have one of the more picture-friendly interiors fit for the gram. You can experience Siargao in a nutshell in Kermit Siargao as they offer services such as island tours, surfing lessons, and other sustainable activities promoting to preserve the island of Siargao.

Kermit Siargao also features accommodations in three configurations, the Lokal Cottages, the Bungalow Rooms, and the Deluxe Rooms. When I visited the island last March 2022 to celebrate my 30th birthday, I can still see the effects of the wrath of the recent typhoon that hit the island in December. But nevertheless, Kermit Siargao has since been recovering after the typhoon and tourists also start to go back and experience the local island life.

Their rooms are equipped with air-condition units, bathroom with hot and cold shower, and complimentary water and all rooms are spacious and can fit up to 3 persons per room. Its earthy interior made our stay more relaxing, and the vibe is just simple and laid-back – making you forget all your worries in an instant. What I noticed, too, is that their rooms do not have televisions, which is a good thing for me because you are there to enjoy the island itself!

If you are not yet aware, Kermit Siargao serves one of the best brick oven pizzas in town! Their freshly made pizzas are what Kermit is known for and you will come back for more! Made from scratch and locally sourced ingredients, its Italian roots are still anchored on traditional Filipino touches that made our dining experience more unique. I also tried their pasta and their cocktails to complement the occasion. It is what I am looking for in a resort – laid-back, cool staff, and of course, good food (and good beds, too, if you ask me!) Yup, I can say it is the Kermit vibes! It is a nice place to chill after hitting the waves or simply just strolling around Siargao.
