Literally meaning “hotpot” in Japanese, Nabe finally comes and opens its doors in Baguio City to bring Filipino families even closer in one table. With the traditional Japanese dining setup, gathering around food is more than just a symbol of having close-knit relationships with family and friends – it is also a celebration of the hearty and healthy relationships that binds people together. Nabe Japanese Izakaya and Hotpot is their 5th store in the entire Philippines and is the first one in Northern Luzon. Their other branches are located in Metro Manila (3), and in Sky Ranch Tagaytay (1). As the climate in Baguio City is cool all year-round, it is a nice place to open a hotpot store that will surely warm your hearts up.
Dig into Nabe and its Unlimited Hotpot!
As the first store in Baguio City, we definitely felt the warmth of the Japanese hospitality and the ambiance of the place has a whole new vibe. Similar to Baguio’s cool year-round climate, Nabe’s heartwarming soup bases and hot pot options are definitely worth the try. With one of their bestseller soup base, I personally tried their Tonkotsu Soup Base, it can all be best paired with their meat selections, together with their appetizers, sides, and vegetables. There are a total of 16 soup bases to choose from! You will never run out of choices!
We were then spoiled with their warm bowls of goodness, and I say, goodness because Nabe only serves nothing but good Japanese food, not to mention, their warm hospitality as well. Nabe has surely brought Japan right into every plate when you experience dining in their place. Everything just falls into place – warm people, great food, nice ambiance. It really is a must-try here in Baguio’s ever growing arena of food spaces that offer food that is also good for the soul! And not just that, their unlimited hotpot only starts at ₱ 588.00 per person!
