Posing more than just a restaurant, Pugon by Amare is your home where you can celebrate any occasion, over warm conversations, good food, and good company. The concept of Pugon by Amare was Edmark Bustos’ homage and tribute to his father, who taught him the love for food.

This concept restaurant is also giving importance to the local community – introducing local Baguio products, supporting local farmers and suppliers, and patronizing locally-sourced ingredients that gives Pugon its homey food flavor.

Pugon by Amare’s Pizza Making Experience

Of course, the traditional make-your-own-pizza is still a thing in Pugon by Amare  – a signature experience with its white-clad pugon oven as your background – this can be a shared moment with yourself, friends, and family!

Opened at the Scout Hill of Camp John Hay on the second half of March 2026, Pugon by Amare does not only want to be remembered as a restaurant, but rather be remembered as a ‘destination’ that people will always look for and will come back to because they feel ‘home’ – a legacy and atmosphere that Pugon By Amare wants to cultivate.

With its new concept, Pugon by Amare is introducing Filipino Comfort Food! Be it from your childhood classics of isaw, sisig, bagnet and the like, Pugon by Amare has got you!

When I visited Pugon, I of course tried their signature homey dishes and starters that are familiar to the Filipino palate. I personally tried their Chopsuey Bagnet (₱ 380, sharing)*, Tinapa Fried Rice (₱ 220, sharing)*, Crispy Isaw Starters (₱ 285, sharing)*, Crispy Enoki (₱ 345, sharing)*, Iloco Salad (₱ 395, sharing)*, and their new bestseller, the Crispy Isaw Pizza (₱ 520, Grande)*.

I personally would recommend you to try their Crispy Isaw Pizza as it is new to the Amare table offerings. This innovative recipe brings your favorite Filipino merienda to a whole new level!

I also tried their new Strawberry Cloud Iced Latte (₱ 225)*, a new signature drink from the Pugon Cafe curated by sir Edmark’s sister, Marianne. This light-tasting drink reminds me of home as it uses local flavors such as strawberry and Benguet coffee, infused in one refreshing drink. Definitely a must-try!

If I come back, I would love to try their Vodka Pasta (₱ 860, sharing)*, Kare-Kare (₱ 525, sharing)* Garlic Shrimp Pizza (₱ 590, Media)*, Strawberry Burrata Salad (₱ 650, sharing)*, and their Ube Latte (₱ 225)* as well. There is just so much flavor waiting to be discovered in Pugon!
