Tagpuan: Serenity Camp – Benguet’s Quick Hideaway Haven
Tagpuan: Serenity Camp – Are you up for a new adventure?
Given the mountainous topography of Benguet and the Cordillera Region, you really cannot afford to miss countless views in every corner of the province, including Baguio City. In this blog, me and my friend, together with her daughter, visited one of the newest exclusive attractions in La Trinidad, the Tagpuan: Serenity Camp in Barangay Beckel.

This nature camp will not only make you experience Benguet on a whole new level but it will also bring you back to basics – no plugs for electricity supply, no WiFi, and no frills traditional camping. It really made our stay much closer to nature and to the beauty it gives that we tend to take for granted everyday. They named the place “Tagpuan: Serenity Camp” as this aims to be a meeting place of family and friends who seek to unwind and forget the hustle and bustle of the busy city. All you need is the company of each other!
In between “Into the Woods” and “Sea of clouds”
Tagpuan: Serenity Camp is nestled in between the lush woods of Benguet and is situated at the tip of a reinforced cliff where you get to see the sea of clouds if you are lucky enough. With the Cordillera mountains as its background, of course. As a local, I still get in awe with what nature brings and Tagpuan will never disappoint.
Note, too, that as of this writing, the camp does not yet offer food and beverage for its guests so we brought our own food and drinks for the experience. This is also a good way to bond with your family and friends over food while enjoying the cold Cordilleran breeze or just simply enjoying what nature has to offer beyond your expectations. It is the perfect way to just relax and enjoy the view – all nestled in one place!
The amenities that Tagpuan offer are:
- 1 parking slot (for guests with private vehicles)
- Chimney and Butane Stove (for cooking)
- Cooking Utensils
- Bonfire Area
- Comfort Room
- Tent and Beddings
- Outdoor Bathtub (for pictorial purposes for the meantime, it will be fully operational by December 2021)
- Outdoor electricity – solar lamps and rechargeable lights are on site. (Don’t forget to bring your powerbanks as there are no power outlets in the area – to maximize your camping experience!)
- Standby Camp Master (in case of emergency and if guests have other needs / inquiries)
