Taipei 101 Travel Guide
Taipei 101 in Taiwan is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in East Asia. Located in the northern part of the island, this building stands out in the suburbs of downtown Taipei. Here is a quick travel guide for you when visiting Taiwan’s crown jewel.

Taipei 101 | Taiwan’s Crown Jewel
With an official height of 508 meters (1,667 feet), Taipei 101 has been the world’s tallest building from 2004 to 2010 when it was surpassed by Dubai’s Burj Khalifa in 2010. I was super excited to visit this building because, as you all know, it is THE main attraction in downtown Taipei. And given Taiwan’s efficient transportation system, we reached Taipei 101 in a jiffy.
Upon entering the building, you get to go to the 5th floor, where the ticketing area, souvenir shop, and the queue going to the 89th floor are all located. For admission to the view decks, you can buy onsite tickets (but I tell you, the queue for onsite purchase is quite long!) or you can purchase tickets online, whether on Taipei 101’s ticketing website here or through Klook! They have a priority queue for online bookings and purchases.
I suggest that you purchase your tickets online ahead of your visit to save time. It is also more convenient when visiting the building. You just have to prepare a confirmation e-mail, voucher code, or QR code to redeem your physical ticket onsite.
