Novotel: Your hotel like no other

I am not an expert hotel reviewer but whenever I go to hotels for a stay, I easily get in awe especially when it surprises me in ways I never even imagined. From interiors to lighting, from food to different facilities and amenities, I just get naïve and submit myself to whatever the hotel has to offer — that’s what I found out in Novotel.

When I first heard about Novotel, the first word that came to my mind is “wow!” And yes, it did not disappoint. Being one of the brands of Accor Hotels, Novotel is also strategically located at the heart of one of Quezon City’s busiest hubs – the Araneta Center.

As this hotel is also family-friendly, several amenities for children are found inside the hotel. Of course, as a kid-at-heart, I never missed the opportunity to play on their electronic playing table (which is so much fun, I tell you!)

Novotel’s design is also contemporary as it has light interiors and minimalist settings all over. I am the person who is easily fascinated by lights and good interior so I easily fell in love with Novotel.

What added to Novotel’s classy ambiance is its friendly and accommodating staff that always greets and smiles at us whenever we pass by. (Talk about Filipino hospitality!)

I just felt I was in my own home, enjoying a world-class service.

More like anyone’s home

Novotel’s 401 well-appointed rooms and suites is an experience on its own. We were welcomed with much comfort and style – with every need delivered by their friendly staff.

As a classic hospitality saying goes, hotel staffs are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen. And that is true in Novotel’s brand of service.

The room itself in Novotel is more like of my home squished in one room. Everything you need might probably be there. Even an extra bed could be accommodated because the room space is very wide with premium bed/s and state-of-the-art amenities and equipment.

WiFi connectivity is fast and the bar amenities are not to disappoint. The working table is also wide with a multimedia connectivity port located just near the television. The bathroom is also chic as anyone could imagine. The rooms and every area in the hotel are also generously carpeted which made our stay homier.

The food in Novotel’s Restaurant, the Food Exchange Manila, is just to die for! I have never seen a dining area as wide as the Food Exchange! Various food choices from different parts of the globe can please your palate in this restaurant. May it be babaganoush from the Middle East, Pizza from Europe, Lassi from India or even “taho” from the Philippines can be found here! This all-day dining restaurant not only features their breakfast buffet but they also offer a wine buffet at the bar – with different kinds of wines!

Aside from the cozy rooms and delectable cuisines of Novotel Manila, you can maximize your time and experience by lounging into the other facilities the hotel has to offer:

The Kids’ Club

Found near the Food Exchange, this playground for kids would really make every child’s stay memorable and more fun!

The adult and kiddie swimming pools with pool decks

Offering a perfect view of the Manila Skyline, the pools also offer an unmatched view of the hotel’s façade. There are also lifeguards on duty that makes your pool experience much safer.

The InBalance (Fitness Center, Spa, and Hammam)

The InBalance would really fill up the “balance” you need for a more comfortable stay in Novotel. This is your haven to relax and unwind and serves as a hideaway from the stresses of everyday life.

The 6^th Pool Bar and Lounge

Located just beside the pool, this lounge offers guests an additional private space if ever you want to unwind in a cozier atmosphere.

The Gourmet Bar

Offering you the latest and “trendiest” in the world of food and everything in between!

Verdict: 10/10

My overall experience in Novotel is incomparable from check-in to checkout. All our needs were attended to and they even exceeded our expectations. These ladies and gentlemen are all smiles when they greet us or even if we just pass by. Every facility, amenity, and service that you would ask would be given in no time without any questions asked. They even give more than what you would ask for that makes it more memorable for me.

Albeit the foreign roots of Novotel, the Filipino Hospitality exudes even in the simplest detail you could ever see in this hotel. It is the living example of a perfect mix between modern living and that simple and minimalist Filipino lifestyle.
