P&F Estacion de Cafe – Quaint yet attractive Cafe in the outskirts of Baguio

P&F Estacion de Cafe is one of the restaurant-cafes in Baguio City that offers a good view of the nearby mountains and of the West Philippine Sea on a fine day. Located in Upper San Carlos Heights (between Quezon Hill Extension and Irisan), this Cafe is a good vantage point to enjoy an unselfish view while you enjoy your hearty meals during the day or enjoying the sunset from a distance in the afternoon. It is my first time in this cafe, though quite far from the usual go-to places in Baguio City, I can recommend this if you are in for some peace and quiet while enjoying the view and their food!

Good food with a Good View

P&F Estacion de Cafe is just a small cafe inside the Micasa Micama Biak na Bato Transient House. It is actually the transient’s in-house cafe for checked-in guests but it can also be visited by walk-in guests who just want to dine and see the view.

When me and my partner visited here for the first time, it rained so badly we did not have the chance to see the sun set from afar. But what we did is we went back for breakfast the next day to see its setting in the morning! As I am a big fan of cafes with a different kind of twist, especially the ones with good views and vantage points, I was just so happy to see nature’s way of making us appreciate the simple things.

No to mention their hearty food, they offer a wide range of food options while you get to enjoy the natural scenery of the place. Their menu is more of a Western type (though I suggest that they offer highland / Cordilleran dishes as well) to pay homage to the rich culinary background of the region. What we have ordered is their signature P&F Rice, Chicken Barbecue, and their House Burger. For our drinks, we ordered their Taro Cream Cheese Milk Tea and their Passion Fruit Tea with Nata de Coco.

In their morning hours, you can just walk-in and visit the place for your morning fix but the owners recommend that if you plan to visit P&F Estacion de Cafe from 1600 H onwards, a reservation may be required (through their Facebook Page or their phone numbers), especially that this is the time where an influx of visitors come to the cafe and dine.

Best time to visit: Sunset!

How to go to P&F Estacion de Cafe

As the cafe is quite far from the city center, you can go to the cafe via jeepney, taxi, or your own private vehicle. Its pinned location on your navigation app of choice is quite accurate and I suggest that you allot an ample time for your travel going to the place.

How to get there

Via jeepney: Ride a jeep that is bound for Quezon Hill and ask the driver to drop you off at Quezon Hill Extension (garage is located at Shagem Street cor. Abanao Street, in between Empire Cinema and 7-11), near the entrance to Biak na Bato. The signage going to the café / transient house is found at the left side of the road, found on a satellite Barangay Health Clinic (as seen on the pinned location in your navigation app) where you would walk at least 3-5 minutes going to the property itself. Travel time to the location is approximately around 15-20 minutes depending on the traffic and fare is pegged at ₱ 10.00.

Via taxi: If you opt to ride a taxi, just tell the driver to drop you off at Quezon Hill Extension, Purok 27, in Biak na Bato. Fare is approximately ₱ 120.00 – 130.00, depending on the traffic flow.

Via private car: If you have your own car, you can utilize a navigation app of your choice and type either P&F Estacion de Café or Micasa Micama Transient House. Follow the directions leading to the place but the pathway is narrow and parking space is very limited as the path is usually fit for one vehicle passing only.
